Small Time Marketing never really took off when I was spending most of my time post shut-downs working at a restaurant and going to school for an MBA.

So, here we are 3 years later and I am working on getting back into the marketing game. So I am going to start with a blogging challenge.

“It’s 2023, does blogging still work?”

While there are many new technologies that have really started on the scene since I last was actively marketing (I can’t wait to tell you all I have been learning about A.I.), the internet still runs primarily on text.

Yes, video and audio content are easily accessible and have to be available for any marketing plan, but text is an important means of communication. There are some methods of communication that can only be done through text.

So, we will see how the numbers play off after the one month blogging challenge, but I am going to hypothesize that I will see significant results for my business here and for the Christian College I help run, Aletheia Christian College.

Small Time Marketing has had between 10 and 40 visitors and between 10 and 100 view per month in the last 3 years. Aletheia has had between 106 and 370 visitors and between 320 and 950 views per month in the last 3 years. If blogging works then I expect to triple the numbers for these posts just by doing a 30 day blogging challenge and sharing my posts to the same social media channels that I have been using for the last 3 years.

By the way, blogging includes audio blogging (podcasting), video blogging, and social media content.

So, while I could present you all the information that other people have about why blogging still works, I am going to go out on a limb and do the work to demonstrate with real numbers how blogging works to build your small business’s presence online.
